It's a long weekend! Yay!
The local drive-in is having a dusk to dawn marathon tomorrow night:). with Mama Mia!, Hellboy 2, The Mummy 3 and Wanted. We've already seen Wanted and Mama Mia is in the category of 'if we see it fine, if not that's fine too' but the other two? Oh hell yes! Wanna see, gotta see!
I got to see X-Files 2 and The Dark Knight last weekend. X-Files was, by far, the better of the two, at least IMO. For me it was even better than the first one, lol. Although a bushy Mulder is not NEARLY as sexy as a clean shaven Mulder! lol
Dark Knight, while good, was a let down for me. It was just too damn long! i lost concentration about the 1.5 hour mark and it was all downhill from there.
i enjoy the movies derived from the comics--X-Men, Batman, Spiderman, etc.--but this one was just.......................a let down. Sir thinks i listened to too much of the hype and didn't particularly agree with it. Heath Leger did do a wonderful job as The Joker--he was just totally disturbing and creepy. Maybe i've just gotten so used to the run of the mill movies that i've just gotten used to it so was disappointed when it wasn't run of the mill. So used to the 'goody two-shoes' Batman that i can't stand to see him in this light. i can see the Dark Knight batman being the one to contest having a partner in Robin, or any one else, though.
Did any of you read the story about them making another Catwoman with Angelina Jolie as her as a Dark Knight nemesis? NOooooooooooooooooo thank you! Give me Halle Berry in her Catwoman costume any day! YUM!!!!!!!!!!
I think Blockbuster's is having a previously viewed movie mega sale until this weekend or next! We bought Sweeny Todd, the first Scooby Doo live action movie and a couple of others last weekend and spent about the same money as one NEW release!
i'm beginning to think the apartment is just a quick rest stop for one of the kids, lol. He was at a friend's most of yesterday, slept there last night and was there all day today. Came home for supper and is now off to go do some stuff with his dad *sigh*. i'll be seeing a lot more of him come winter though, lol. The camp grounds are mostly closed then, lol. The other one needs to realize that he will NOT find friends by sitting in front of the gamecube or computer all day, at least not fact-to-face friends. Although a group of them ARE planning a movie night next week, lol. i've already told him what ones he'll be allowed to see:D--anything PG13 or under, lol, with a list of the ones which ARE rated that way.
